One night in Dublin… the city I was born in, grew up in, studied in, designed in, celebrated in, laughed in, cried in, loved in…
Last January I relished some headspace and quality time with my husband as we enjoy a couple of days breakaway on our own in Dublin. Instead of buying each other lots of Christmas gifts which we really don’t need we started a tradition a couple of years ago, booking a break away together in the New Year. It gives us some quality time together to reflect on the year that’s been and to plan for the year ahead as a couple, without any distractions.
We stayed at The Dean Hotel Dublin and I was very inspired, every detail from the front door to the ensuite was perfectly on brand… retro, edgy and a bit cheeky. Every little touch enhanced our experience from eating in the rooftop restaurant and drinking in the atmospheric lobby bar to listening to the record player relaxing in our room and a bit of Netflix and chill! A brand experience done right!
We enjoyed more than a few drinks in some of our old haunts, saw an early evening showing in the Lighthouse cinema, something we haven’t done since before the girls were born and had a delicious Asian meal in Saba.
Sometimes all you need is one night!
